Day 1Arrive in New Jalpaiguri/ Bagdogra – Gangtok (120 km/ 4 hrs drive)
Upon arrival welcome to the Guests from New Jalpaiguri Railway Station/ Bagdogra Airport. Meet & greet with our Company representative and you will be transferred to Gangtok. Reach Gangtok & check-in at hotel. Rest of the day at leisure or explore Mall road at your own. Dinner & overnight stay at hotel.
Day 2Excursion to Tsomgo Lake (Also known Changu Lake or Tsongmo Lake)
After breakfast, excursion to Tsomgo Lake & Baba Mandir (Tsomgo Lake is situated in the Eastern part Sikkim. It is known as Changu Lake or Tsongmo Lake. It’s a glacial lake that gets the water when snow melts down from the mountains and located at an elevation of 3,753 m (12,313 ft), some 32 kilometres from the Gangtok. The Lake is oval shaped lake nearly 50 feet deep. It is known for its changing color of water during summers. However, it remains frozen during the winter season. In Bhutia community, this lake holds a great cultural and religious importance as they be believe it to be a holy lake. This lake is home to the Brahmini ducks & many migratory birds). Next visit to sacred Baba Harvajan Singh Mandir, some 12 kilometres drive which is known to be a very holy site for all. Later back to Gangtok. Evening free to roam around Mall Road and enjoy shopping of souvenir at your own. Dinner & overnight stay at hotel.
Day 3Gangtok – Lachung (125 km/ 4-5 hrs drive)
After breakfast, check-out from the hotel and drive to Lachung via Chungthang (Lachung situated at an altitude of 8600 feet). On the way enjoy a few wonderful locations like Seven sister waterfalls, Naga Waterfalls and the confluence of Lachen chu and Lachung Chu at Chungthang – The road leads through Rhododendron plants of the Singha Forest Reserve extended up to the Tibetan Plateau – Picturesque landscape, snow peaked mountains, flowing rivers blooming rhododendrons (April to June). One can find the riot of colors as Rhododendrons, Primulae and many other Alpine Flowers are in full bloom. Reach Lachung and check into hotel. Evening visit Lachung Monastery. Dinner & overnight stay at hotel.
After breakfast, check-out from the hotel and drive to Yumthang (nearly 26 kilometres/ 1 hour’s drive. Situated at an altitude of nearly 11800 feet with the river Lachung Chu flowing through the valley. Lachung is most sought after by tourist and the valley is either snow covered or the blooming Rhododendron always enhance the beauty of the place). In Yumthang see Yumthang valley & hot spring (Hot spring known for its curative properties and Yumthang is a large valley surrounded by mountains where the tree line ends and the cold desert starts. In the winter months there is snow all around and the snow-clad mountains adds to the beauty). After sightseeing drive back to Gangtok via Twin Waterfalls, Bhim Nala Waterfalls. Reach Gangtok and check-in at hotel. Dinner & overnight stay at hotel.
Day 5Gangtok – Kalimpong (75 km/ 2-3 hrs drive)
After breakfast, visit Tashi View Point, Botanical Garden, Ganesh Tok, Enchey Monastery, Barthang waterfalls, Nam Nang view point, Ropeway, Flower Show, Directorate of Handicrafts & Handloom, Research Institute of Tibetology & Do Drul Chorten (Stupa). Later drive to Kalimpong (Situated at an altitude of 1243 meters/ 4078 feet on the foothills of the Himalayas). Reach Kalimpong and check-in at hotel. Dinner & overnight stay at hotel.
Day 6Kalimpong – Darjeeling (70 km/2-3 hrs drive)
After breakfast, enjoy sightseeing of Kalimpong through scenic road to Forest Museum (Closed on Thursday), Dr Graham Homes, Deolo Hill, Durbin Monastery, Hanuman Mandir, Mangaldham & Pine View Nurseries (Cactus Only). Later check-out from the hotel and drive to Darjeeling (The Queen of the hills situated at a height of 2123 meters / 70001 feet. The land of breathtaking beauty, sloping tea gardens with spectacular views of the Mount Everest. It is also home to the famous World Heritage train (DHR) – The Darjeeling Himalayan Railway). Reach Darjeeling & check-in at hotel. Rest of the day at leisure or explore local bazaar at your own. Dinner & overnight stay at hotel.
Day 7Darjeeling Sightseeing
Early morning around 3:45 AM drive to Tiger Hill (8000 feet/ 2440 meters) to see Beautiful Sunrise over Kanchenjunga Peak (subject to clear weather). On your way back visit Ghoom Monastery, Batasia Loop & Peace Memorial. After breakfast, enjoy Toy Train ride (Joy ride – optional), later visit Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park & Himalayan Mountaineering Institute (Closed on Thursday), Ropeway, Tenzing & Gombu Rock, Tibetan Refugee Self-Help Center (Closed on Sunday) & Tea Estate etc. Dinner & overnight stay at hotel.
After breakfast, transfer the guests to New Jalpaiguri Railway Station/ Bagdogra Airport to board the train/ flight for onward journey and tour terminates here but sweet memories remain for forever…
