Activity Details

Nepal has several famous rivers that are ideal for rafting especially that flow across the country through the city of Pokhara and Kathmandu. One can choose the best rafting packages as there are several best routes for a day’s rafting activity and in some cases can go as long as a week or so.

Upper Setti is one of the shortest rafting tours in Nepal which covers the stretch of upto 7 km and starts from Bamboo Bridge and ends at The Dam. It is just a 5-6 hours activity. Sun kosi is one of the longest rafting tours in Nepal which covers the stretch of upto 270 km and starts from Dumja and ends at Chatara. It can be covered in 9-10 days depend on your stamina physical strength.

Price Includes

  • River Rafting activity for Grade-4 and distance is 7 km.
  • Get ready for fun adventure activities in the morning and reach the place from where the rafting starts.
  • Get in a raft and start your adventure after a briefing by the instructor.
  • All activities are carried out under proper supervision and highest quality equipment is used to ensure utmost safety.
  • Due to COVID protocols, we sanitize life jackets and other equipment before and after every trip.

Price Excludes

  • Any transport facility for Airport/Hotel pick-up/drop.
  • Any extra activity, Any meals & expenses.
  • Any beverages (hard & soft)/Table Drinks, items of personal nature such as laundry, telephone calls, travel or any kind of insurance etc.
  • Any medical expenses in case of accident.
  • Applicable Government taxes (GST).

Tour Conditions

  • Minimum of 4 persons required.
  • Maximum weight up to 40-110 kg.
  • Maximum Age up to 18-55 years depend on Medical & Physical fitness.
  • The entire process takes 5 hours’ time, including safety brief and instructions.
  • All rates & bookings will be subject to availability.
  • Confirmation only on receipt of 50% advance payment.
  • Balance payment to be deposited 01 month prior to travel date.
  • Full advance payment to be deposited, in case the booking is made in less than 1 month of travelling date.
  • Ashoka India Tours carries no insurance whatsoever for the tour participants. Hence it is advisable to get travel insurance by your own.
  • Mentioned special package rates are valid till 31st March 2022.

Important Note

  • Activity timings: 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM only.
  • Please follow the COVID guidelines issued by the State Government. Wear your Masks, sanitize your hands frequently and maintained social distancing.
  • Listen to all instructions carefully by the instructor before and after the activity.
  • Valid ID proof is mandatory for each guest to be shown on arrival before starting any activity.
  • This activity is strictly avoidable for pregnant women, high BP patients or anyone with a serious illness, a broken arm/leg, and a person who has had a recent major surgery.
  • It is recommended to have a light meal before this activity. Avoid to take heavy meals.
  • Instructor reserves the right to reject any participant deemed ineligible to be part of the activity.
  • Avoid consumption of alcoholic beverages. Otherwise the instructor reserves the right to disqualify the intoxicated participant and no refund will be given in such circumstances.
  • Participants are not allowed to carry any type of alcohol, hand bags, sharp objects like knives during the activity.
  • You will be informed about the next best possible time slot. In case of delay in activity due to bad weather conditions or any unforeseen reason.
What to Expect

Nepal Rafting Tours can be classified into 5 types of rapids:

  • Grade-I: This grade will have little or no obstruction with a slow-moving stream.
  • Grade-II & III: There are some obstacles in the fast flow of the river.
  • Grade-IV: There are large waves that require strong paddling as well as great teamwork and continuous sections of whitewater rapids.
  • Grade-V: To do this grade, one must have previous rafting experience as there will be powerful and long stretches of rapids and the river will have large holes that require strong paddling.
