Overview
Sikkim is one of the smallest states and is located in the eastern Himalayan part of India. It is considered one of the famous tourist states in northeast and bordered by Nepal, Bhutan and Tibet. Sikkim is a home to alpine meadows, various varieties of wildflowers and several glaciers including Kangchenjunga which is India’s highest mountain peak of 8586 meters above sea level. The finest blend of tea comes from various tea gardens of Sikkim.
Darjeeling is a famous hill resort offering a breath-taking sight of the numerous peaks of the majestic Himalayas. Situated on the foothills of the Himalayas at an altitude of more than 2000m, the Abode of Lord Shiva offers spectacular views of Kanchenjunga and the hospitality of colorful Himalayan people. The views of Kanchenjunga and Mount Everest are particularly awe Inspiring. The luxuriant vegetation is a plant lover’s paradise. The finest blend of tea comes from various tea gardens of this region. The Buddhist Monasteries and the Hindu temples found here are of architectural and cultural importance. And the Himalayan physiography of lofty mountainous terrain and cascading rivers, offers adventure sports like trekking, mountaineering and river rafting.

Itinerary
Day 1: Arrive in New Jalpaiguri/ Bagdogra – Gangtok (120 km/4 hour’s drive)
Upon arrival welcome to the Guests from New Jalpaiguri Railway Station/ Bagdogra Airport. Meet & greet with our Company representative and you will be transferred to Gangtok. Reach Gangtok & check-in at hotel. Rest of the day at leisure or explore Mall Road at your own. Dinner & overnight stay at hotel.
Day 2: Excursion to Tsomgo Lake (Also known Changu Lake or Tsongmo Lake)
After breakfast, excursion to Tsomgo Lake & Baba Mandir (Tsomgo Lake is situated in the Eastern part Sikkim. It is known as Changu Lake or Tsongmo Lake. It’s a glacial lake that gets the water when snow melts down from the mountains and located at an elevation of 3,753 m (12,313 ft), some 32 kilometers from the Gangtok. The Lake is oval shaped lake nearly 50 feet deep. It is known for its changing color of water during summers. However, it remains frozen during the winter season. In Bhutia community, this lake holds a great cultural and religious importance as they believe it to be a holy lake. This lake is home to the Brahmini ducks & many migratory birds). Next visit to sacred Baba Harvajan Singh Mandir, some 12 kilometers drive which is known to be a very holy site for all. Later back to Gangtok. Evening free to roam around Mall Road and enjoy shopping of souvenir at your own. Dinner & overnight stay at hotel.
Day 3: Gangtok Sightseeing
After breakfast, visit Tashi View Point, Rumtek Monastery, Botanical Garden, Ganesh Tok, Enchey Monastery, Barthang waterfalls, Nam Nang view point, Ropeway, Flower Show, Directorate of Handicrafts & Handloom, Research Institute of Tibetology & Do Drul Chorten (Stupa) etc. After sightseeing back to hotel. Dinner & overnight stay at hotel.
Day 4: Gangtok – Darjeeling (110 km/4 hour’s drive)
After breakfast, check-out from the hotel and drive to Darjeeling (The Queen of the hills situated at a height of 2123 meters / 70001 feet. The land of breathtaking beauty, sloping tea gardens with spectacular views of the Mount Everest. It is also home to the famous World Heritage train (DHR) – The Darjeeling Himalayan Railway). Reach Darjeeling & check-in at hotel. Rest of the day at leisure or explore local bazaar at your own. Dinner & overnight stay at hotel.
Day 5: Darjeeling
Early morning around 3:45 AM drive to Tiger Hill (8000 feet/ 2440 meters) to see Beautiful Sunrise over Kanchenjunga Peak (subject to clear weather). On your way back visit Ghoom Monastery, Batasia Loop & Peace Memorial. After breakfast, enjoy Toy Train ride (Joy ride - optional), later visit Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park & Himalayan Mountaineering Institute (Closed on Thursday), Ropeway, Tenzing & Gombu Rock, Tibetan Refugee Self-Help Center (Closed on Sunday) & Tea Estate etc. After sightseeing back to hotel. Dinner & overnight stay at hotel.
Day 6: Darjeeling – Bagdogra/New Jalpaiguri – Departure (75 km/3 hour’s drive)
After breakfast, transfer the guests to New Jalpaiguri Railway Station/ Bagdogra Airport to board the train/flight for onward journey and tour terminates here but sweet memories remain forever...
